My Journey

I trained to become a Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates back in 2013, shortly after the birth of my second child.  Prior to that I had practised Pilates for seven years and found that it complemented my passion for running, staying healthy and fit. 

Since qualifying to become a mat work teacher I have successfully grown my business and have found a real passion for teaching.

I love how Pilates tones and strengthens, gives you an amazing understanding of your body, increases flexibility whilst also providing moments of calm.

Training

Since undertaking my mat work teacher training in 2013,  I have continued my professional development through Body Control Pilates.  I now hold specialist qualifications in Pilates for Bone Health, allowing me to work with individuals who suffer from Osteopenia or Osteoporosis.  I have attended a number of short courses at Body Control Pilates as well as completing the Intermediate Mat Work course.  

I have undertaken extensive training exclusively related to exercise referral and low back pain to become a Back4Good Practitioner. Qualifying as a Back4Good Practitioner allows me to work specifically with individuals who suffer with non-specific low back pain.  

In September 2019 I completed my training to enable me to teach on the Reformer, furthering my knowledge and expertise to benefit my clients.  The qualification developed my skills to work with the Reformer safely and effectively, forming the foundations for me to go on to train on all studio equipment in the future.  

Pilates Classes

I run mat classes from Aldeburgh, Kesgrave and Rendham.  Classes are a maximum of 12 people so individual needs can be met and appropriate verbal cues and corrections given. 

I offer 1:1 or 2:1 sessions from a small studio in Aldeburgh.  These sessions can be tailored to suit your individual needs and can be mat work based or Reformer, or both!
